The staff development group within Crowsnest Pass EMS consists of 2 Paramedics and 2 EMT's. This dedicated group is responsible for providing new employee orientation, training and re certification of skills for existing employees, as well as the design and implementation of programs that ensure EMS staff are trained for the unique range of calls present within our service area. This group also maintains a knowledge base of the current research and trends within the EMS field, and provides this ever expanding knowledge to our staff.
The staff development group has recently formed a partnership with Lethbridge Fire & EMS, and the National Paramedic Institute to form an online training community, known as EMS Jane. With the development of this vital program staff are now able to complete required continuing education modules online and at their own pace.
